Institute Guidelines
The following activities are prohibited in the Institute in order to preserve the environment:
- Collecting plants or animals
- Drinking alcohol
- Smoking outside designated smoking areas
- Littering (please take your trash home with you)
- Entering restricted or fenced-off areas
- Jogging, playing sports, or singing in groups (chorus)
- Selling goods or conducting commercial photography
The following items are also not allowed to be brought into the Institute:
- Plants and animals
- Toys such as balls and jump ropes
- Insect nets and cages
- Alcoholic beverages
- Musical instruments
*In recent years, the increase of non-native species such as red-eared sliders (commonly known as midori-game), largemouth bass, and bluegill has become a serious problem. Releasing species that do not originally inhabit the area can threaten the native wildlife. Please refrain from doing so.
